Pros

I have been employed at OnPoint for a number of years now and have almost entirely good things to say. I truly have felt cared for, heard, and supported since I was brought onto the team. Management at OnPoint is carefully picked and for the most part, all managers I've worked with or known have been strong leaders and truly kind people. I will say that the health of OnPoint's team also depends upon new employees valuing the same integral things--drive, accountability, responsibility, desire for growth, integrity etc... and over the years, I have seen those who do not exhibit those qualities struggle in their positions. Ultimately, OnPoint takes care of its people, empowers employees to take care of our members, and is a great place to work. Benefits are good (I especially love and take advantage of tuition reimbursement as I'm finishing my degree) and work atmosphere is professional. I've loved my time at OP!

Cons

Salaries and pay are not public so employees sometimes make drastically more or less than others in the same position. In my time at OP this confusion about where I stand in comparison to the next employee is the thing I've disliked the most.

Pros

I generally would say health benefits, PTO, 401k match but these things are pretty standard in the banking/credit union world. In the beginning I would say that OnPoint was the best place to work. But like every relationship over the years true colors were shown. When a credit union is run by past Bank of America executives, managers and staff it creates more of a bank culture then a credit union one. OnPoint has taken the mold and fit in it with out any regards to what it has done to there staff and member service. Stop bragging about how big you are and get back to your roots of caring about people.

Cons

Low pay, lies, double standards, little to no support, no work life balance

Thank you for taking the time to write your review, we appreciate your feedback. OnPoint seeks to provide a total compensation package which includes competitive base pay (our starting base salary was increased to $15 per hour in 2018), incentive opportunities, amazing benefits, PTO, volunteer time, paid holidays, accelerated retail training, development plans, job shadowing, tuition reimbursement, and so much more. We thoughtfully crafted this package to provide for many of the needs of our diverse group of employees. It's true that we're proud of the growth that we've experienced. For us, this growth is a reflection of our dedication to make a positive impact to the people within our community and to continue to offer professional growth opportunities for our employees. We're all here to help each other succeed.

Good Company

Pros

Good company to work for. There are many opportunities for growth as the company is growing fairly quickly. Benefits are great. Some managers are wonderful!

Cons

Because of the growth employees were stretched a little thin sometimes. It also caused individuals who were not necessarily ready for a position to be promoted due to a need to fill those positions. Compensation was not the best either, individuals being hired are being brought on at higher wages than those who have put in years of time. Communication between the main office and the branches is awful as well, most changes seem to benefit the main office and create more work for those in the branches who are working with members face to face.
