Pros

I can't think of anything.

Cons

Extremely high stress with way too many metrics and adherence standards to meet. Crap training. Lying about the job expectations to get you to take the position, then pulling the switch. Constant micromanagement. 1 hour of training for an entire procedural overhaul that went live the next day. Everybody is a yes man. All management wants to hear is how great their changes and ideas are. So you either tell them what they want to hear, or you're in danger of losing your job.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I am genuinely sorry that your time at One Inc did not meet expectations. Customer Service is a demanding role, and when processes, metrics, or change management are not handled well, the impact is felt immediately by frontline teams. Your feedback on training, communication around role expectations, and the pace of procedural change is taken seriously. Those are areas where clarity and preparation matter, and where we must continue to improve. As the company has scaled, we have made adjustments to how we onboard, train, and support customer-facing teams, including more structured training, clearer documentation, and improved manager enablement. That work is ongoing. While this experience was clearly not a good fit for you, we appreciate the feedback and use it to inform improvements for current and future team members. Ian

Leadership Overkill

Pros

Excellent benefits, tons of perks, and more paid holidays than you typically see in the U.S. Work–life balance is actually respected, and the majority of the team is great to work with.

Cons

Upper management is almost always hired externally, frequently from the same professional circles, leaving little room for internal advancement. Leadership roles often overlap, leading to confusion and constant shifts in priorities. Direction changes happen rapidly, and burnout is largely ignored.

Thank you for your feedback. We do work hard to provide excellent benefits and paid holidays given the pace of our business, the commitment of our employees, and our desire to do the right thing. We are fortunate to have great teammates, and we hire not only for skill and motivation but also for people who “rise together,” which is core to our culture. I take your perspective on management seriously. We completed a round of internal promotions to manager, director, and vice president roles in the spring of 2025, and I anticipate additional promotions in 2026. Training and development are areas where we must continue to improve, and doing so should further expand internal advancement opportunities. As we have grown from approximately 200 to 750 employees, we have hired heavily at all levels, including externally, at times at 50% employee referrals, to support the scale and complexity of the business. I agree there is more room for internal progression, and that remains a focus. Thank you for your time at One Inc. Ian

Lacking leadership

Pros

Some great people who are great at their jobs.

Cons

Leadership is completely out of its depth. Most of the directors and managers have never actually led a team before, yet they’re expected to run full business units. There’s no strategy, no accountability, and no vision — just people guessing their way through management. My own manager regularly came to me asking what he should do next because he had no idea how to run a team or make a decision on his own. It’s hard to respect leadership when they’re clearly in over their heads. Upper management also has a bad habit of taking credit for the work of others and inserting themselves into deals they didn’t touch. Process improvement requests go nowhere, and it feels like no one in leadership understands what “managing” actually means.

Thank you for sharing this feedback — we appreciate the honesty. One Inc has had years of significant hypergrowth, and with that comes a lot of change. As we move from a smaller, scrappier organization into a larger, more scaled company, many things are evolving — the volume of prospects and customers we support, our leadership structure, our processes, and how we show up for managers, teams, and customers. Over the past year, we’ve been investing in leadership development, clearer operating rhythms, and adding experienced leaders to complement our existing team — all with the goal of bringing more clarity, accountability, and direction as we grow. These changes are important for where the company is headed, but we also know that not every stage of growth feels like the right fit for everyone. We’re grateful that you took the time to share your experience, and we truly appreciate your commitment over the years. Feedback like yours helps us learn and continue improving as we build for the next stage of One Inc’s journey. -Megan
