Horrible working hours. No time for family, disrespectful manager, job security is in jeopardy on a weekly basis. Company acts like employees are just vampires with no personal life or feelings

There are so many Cons. For starters, it's a crime how little they pay the hourly staff. Pay raises are a joke. The work environment at Orlando Main building is extremely negative. The hours long and work demanding to the point of ridiculous. Absolutely no work life balance for anyone. The message is clear: keep quiet and nose to the grindstone. Even the holidays are depressing. Taking a break and having a little fun in the office is discouraged. And the layoffs have been hard. The positions they target seems random or poorly thought out and often have been mistake as it creates more problems afterwards in terms of workflow. Communication is poor. Most immediate supervisors/managers seem to care but it's obvious they have their hands tied. Most of them look miserable. It wasn't always this way. FBC was a great place to work. The merger was the biggest mistake. It was exciting at first and everyone was hopeful but it literally is a company divided. They absolutely can not get their act together and unfortunately both employees and donors are paying the price. It's a shame. I used to love FBC and thought OneBlood would be even better but the politics and constant pressure to bring in the blood in at ANY COST is just too much. I'm a sensible educated professional and have never written a review about a company before but it was time. I write this without anger but with sadness as it really could have been a great company. If you're a job seeker I highly encourage you to look elsewhere. You will regret it because the job you get with OneBlood might be tolerable but you'll fall into living in fear of losing your job and watching those around your suffer. Yes, I'm looking and plan to leave as soon as I find something else.
