Not what it used to be, but still a good place to work

Some of the employees that have been here for a while still believe in the old OSV.

Cons

The sentiments expressed in the recent negative reviews on here are pretty much all true. Especially the issues with middle management being brought in from the outside. HR seems to think that a 3rd party training course on leadership skills will somehow impart sufficient Workday experience for middle management to be effective. Sr. Mgt decided to hire in from the outside and do not seem willing to admit that was a good idea at the time, but hasn't turned out so well for the culture. (hence the complaints about training)

The 'old OSV' had a culture of constant communication and collaboration which was very easy to maintain due to our size. We have grown to a much larger organization at almost 800 employees with more business offerings which has changed the dynamic of the company, as it would most places with fast growth. We are working on reviving that great culture that is familiar to everyone here. Your honest feedback and faith in us will guide us on our way! Thank you!

Intentions were good, but company has been completely mismanaged.

Cons

Despite "values' of transparency etc., upper management is skilled at skewing the truth. Company is in the midst of conducting mass lay offs, and this will circle to Mesa and London Derry. If you are not a personal friend of someone in upper management, you are at risk. Dust off your resume!

They recently moved into new offices in Irving so the location is very convenient if you have to work in the office.

Cons

No one really knows what to do. Unless you like continous confusion and uncertainty on from the bottom to the top, don't waste your time!!
