Pros
Unlimited PTO that doesn't get micromanaged Decent benefits (paid insurance) Pay was OK at first (until this past year) Nice coworkers Pre-layoffs pretty fast paced so learned a lot
Cons
Leading on the merit reviews for months knowing it wasn't going to happen Blatant lies for PR (like saying we still have high retention and morale) Underpaid (and very little stock options if any) while taking on just as much responsibility as those in higher levels Crazy growth-focused culture with disregard for creating a decent product but just pushing out tons of half-baked features Questionable and shady hires in the last year (before layoffs) Unsure if execs know what they're doing (constant rebrands and marketing restructuring for no reason, lots of poor critiques/suggestions for product features without good reason) Some middle management are completely useless No career growth (haven't really seen anyone get promoted in the few years I've been here + no merit review process in place) Lots of menial work after layoffs Seems like we're still trying to get things together since the layoffs nearly half a year ago now
