Pros

-Great advancement opportunities for entry level employees -leadership at the technical level is excellent -Great PTO policy -I have worked with several offices and I have found the vast majority of employees to be hardworking competent and good people -The one to two star reviews are unfair because they really are just criticizing the nature of the industry, which Montrose has no control over. In order to be cost competitive employees will have to work long hours on some occasions. I have spoken with other companies, and the pay is competitive within the industry.

Cons

-not much advancement opportunities for mid-level employees -Jobs with long hours are doable but there cant be too many back to back days and back to back weeks -Capitol spending seems low in a way that is unsustainable. Source testing equipment doesn't last forever. -The five star reviews are unrealistic. Very few companies are perfect but anybody who gives the company five stars doesn't really have their finger on the pulse of the company so to speak.

Pros

There are some good people working for this company. You might gain some experience. Analysts can do alright here, but only if you suck up to the right people.

Cons

The management is terrible. The comments about a cliquish atmosphere and toxic environment are all true. People here (especially management) will look down on you and treat you like garbage and there's nothing you can do about it except quit. You will be either micromanaged like you are unable to breathe without assistance, or you will be left with little to no instruction/training and blamed when things go wrong. If you are applying for a position on the office side, just don't. It's not worth losing sleep and sanity over.

Pros

This is not to bash the company in a whole. You have a 40-60 chance of making it here. Especially if you're not a minority.

Cons

Let me start off by saying this is a review based on a overview of the entire organization of Enthalpy Analytical. They only hires non- minorities from NC State University. It is hundreds of other colleges in the state of North Carolina with science programs. Before they sold the company to Montrose in 2015 they only hired 4 minorities. They are very biased against minorities and women. They walk around like a warden in prison. If you get caught talking to a colleague you get in trouble. The Tobacco Department is very disrespectful to their lab technicians. The GC Department makes false promises they can't keep. If they move you up you don't get the pay with the promotion. Or they will hire a person straight out of college with no experience over you... Last but not least the (HPLC) Department has the highest turnover rate in the whole company. They are a real piece of work they are very biased against women and if they think that you are smarter than them they set you up for failure.
