Pros

Company is in growth mode, lots of opportunity to make an impact quickly. Global culture supports excellent remote work with good blend of in-office opportunities. Small enough that my individual impact is super noticeable, but growing big enough to get the benefit of learning and growth.

Cons

Global nature can lead to time zone conflict for meetings -- requires teams to be really intentionally about asynch collaboration

Interesting and innovative products, and a focus on initiatives to support internet access for all. Flexible WFH arrangements and unlimited PTO remain the standard at Ookla, while other companies have moved away from these benefits.

Cons

As with all high growth companies, this growth can sometimes outpace the ability to hire new resources. However, the company seems committed to attracting and hiring top talent to support the growth.

Positive, supportive, and collaborative culture. Everyone is a team player and genuinely wants to see each other succeed. Trust and autonomy. I feel trusted to do my job well, and I have the freedom to manage my own projects. Ample opportunities for growth. I've been able to expand my skills and take on new challenges. Management is invested in my professional development. Strong leadership. Leadership is transparent, approachable, and always has a clear vision for the company's future. Impactful work. Contributions have a real impact on the product and the company.
