Pros

OpenGov's mission draws people who are both very talented and awesome human beings. The company has strong leadership and rewards results with tremendous growth opportunity.

Cons

The fast pacing is not for everyone and OpenGov can become a very high pressure environment depending on situation.

Pros

1) The mission is very clearly the top priority. It is really easy to see the passion some of my coworkers have for making difference in government financial analysis. 2) Using cutting edge technology such as Ruby on Rails, React (all ES6), express, webpack, babel, Redux and Postgres. 3) The people here have that rare combination of brilliance and approachability. Regular brown bags, design reviews, retros. Sasha, and the CEO is active with all employees. 4) This is a fast-paced environment where everyone has a great deal of responsibility and impact on the product. 5) Comp and benefits are really good. Everyone gets equity. Free purple tie laundry, lunch/dinner, apartment allowance if you live within 4 miles of the office and a decent gym discount. 6) Everyone is always smiling and very friendly. Friday happy hours at the local bar are great fun

Cons

Some stressful days but there are plenty of teammates to lean on for help or people to talk to

Pros

- Getting to work alongside some of the most talented (and motivated) engineers, designers and product folk in the industry - Getting to work with cutting edge tech that powers one of the most sophisticated (and highly usable) reporting platforms out there. - A broad vision for transforming the relationship that people have with their governments (and how governments relate with each other)

Cons

- Worklife balance (at least in engineering) could be improved. People get spread pretty thin across multiple projects/responsibilities which could lead to a high risk of burnout.
