Pros

None really come to mind. Bonuses used to be decent but they changed that. They have churched up everyone's title so it will look better on a resume once they lay off virtually everyone and we have to look for jobs.

Cons

They have changed the bonus plan at least twice a year since I've worked here-and it gets more confusing and less likely to make money every time. If you do earn a bonus they don't pay on time. The numbers never make sense, are always months behind and it seems they are cooking books and short changing their sales people. Complete disconnect between sales and ops. Employee insurance premiums are outrageous. They do not take care of their employees or patients and are only worried about the bottom line. People are dispensable to them.

Zero accountability with upper management & Executives

Pros

Co-workers are awesome! My direct report manager is very caring & always helpful.

Cons

Benefits suck! They are currently "leaning" us out & have docked employee hours or let employees go. Those of us left behind can't keep up with the extra workloads & there seems to be a general lack of empathy with the decision makers of the company! The general impression is "be grateful you have a job, or go work somewhere else". Executives have no concern for team members in the various locations throughout the nation. They only care about the numbers! Each location is given a generalized budget, without regard for that locations actual competitive market. Why shoot for attainable, right? Instead, people who don't even know our markets composing budget plans, rather than a customized budget plan to fit performance & the market of each location (too much work I guess)! So smaller locations with an extremely competitive market are held to the same standards/goals as locations with less competition & more profitability. It is a set up to fail business plan every year! When you don't meet budget (tallied monthly, & 9 times out of 10 due to centralization & zero ability to control intake/benefits/admission processes), they cut hours, over time, mileage reimbursement for RNs/sales, & tighten the belt on policies for on-call pay for salaried employees. Basically, its a huge set up to fail business plan comprised by people who haven't physically set foot in these locations to experience what these locations experience. Complaints fall on deaf ears, or you get reprimanded for complaining. The processes don't work! Anytime you're honest about how you feel, you're on a radar because they only want "yes" men/women! There is zero gratitude for the hard work put in, even after hours, & usually off the clock! As long as it doesn't mess with the bottom line, who care's... right?!! We are busting our butts everyday & the best we get for it is being called inefficient & letting people go/cutting hours... yeah, that'll teach us to be efficient! Super compassionate/ caring! Also, the patients are really only seen as a payday, there's no true compassion for employees or patients (from the decision makers of the company! The team members in each location care a great deal about our patients & referral sources)! Option Care has every ability to rise above the already mediocre home infusion market, why wouldn't you want to run with that business plan! Why wouldn't you want to show gratitude towards your employees on the frontlines, who literally representing Option Care & literally working ourselves to death to line your pockets? Happy, appreciated employees bring in more money for companies! Focus on that! Quit blaming the locations for YOUR inefficiencies!

Pros

There are no pros at Option Care.

Cons

The director and managers at the Vernon Hills Office do not care about their employees. There is a lot of favoritism between the supervisors, managers and the director on the patient pay department. The manager only promotes her friends who unfortunately happen to be of the same race as her. She helped promote her sons girlfriend to be one of her supervisors and her son happens to work in the same suite as just in a different department.
