Ability to work across multi-functional teams. Fast paced environment where you can learn from the smartest people in cyber security.

Cons

Healthcare benefits could be better, however they are not too bad.

Worked with me to move towards career goals and technologies I was interested in. Work life balance was not bad.

Cons

You sometimes get presented to clients as an expert in something you literally just learned and have no practical experience with, which feels dishonest. It's also possible to get entrenched in a project you may not like for years, just because the client doesn't want you to leave and optiv wants to have good relations with the client. Also the bonus is tied to billable hours per quarter which you may not have any control over.

-Demand is very low -Highly unstructured/dysfunctional -Lack of opportunity to reach targets in order to receive incentive pay -Funding for trainings/certifications is inconsistent -Engagements are pretty small
