Pros
The budget for training is decent. If you're in the in-crowd, you're solid and protected.
Cons
Personal feelings get in the way of business more often than not. The Attack and Penetration team used to be a really solid group, but with current management it's turned in to a pentest puppy mill. Promoting from within is great, if you expand outside of your friends, and actually train managers to be managers prior to them taking on a team.
