Pros

Probably the only pro was working for some very large clients with challenging environments. Base pay was competitive.

Cons

- Stole all consultant bonuses for Q1 2017 shortly before they were due to be paid. That would be millions stolen. - The bonus plan was then changed to a garbage plan that cut incentives in half or worse. Later they tried to fix it, but it was still garbage. - 401K program is aweful - Health Insurance benefits are a high deductible disaster. - They pushed out the high quality sales leaders from Fishnet and replaced them with people that don't know what they are doing (AccuTurd people). - Bureaucracy on top of bureaucracy. New layers of management and red tape everywhere. The takes a village mentality to project scoping was a nightmare. - They scared off some very high quality clients with overly aggressive pushes. - Expense reimbursement was cumbersome and slow. - Work/life balance can be tough.

Desperate Company!

Pros

Work from home and large salary

Cons

You're just a person/number, if you're in the field Optiv security partners would be astonished by what Optiv leadership says behind closed doors about their reseller partners. There is no partnership, and they are driving away a number of partners to further business. Optiv is actually trying to move away from their partner's products and focus mainly on services. Optiv believes the traditional VAR is dead. This company is desperate, as they didn't hit their numbers in 2017, so leadership is in real trouble, if they don't hit numbers again in 2018. C-Levels will not be with Optiv in 2019 if these numbers aren't achieved, plus for the first time in company history, quotas were reduced in hopes of actually hitting sales numbers. Uncompetitive versus other IT security service providers for assessments, etc. Smaller IT security resellers and service providers are more flexible to fit customer's needs. Over-scoping of projects is well known by customers. Really only focused on the large Fortune 1000 companies, so mid-enterprise/SMB companies are unable to pay the large service fees. Churn and burn from the Executive level. Over the past two years, there has been so much turnover at the executive & management level, and a lot of the old leadership has been forced out. This definitely has impacted culture and Glassdoor rating, as I believe it was a 4-star company when I joined. Low commission structure
