Pros

The job was once great. Lots of schedule flexibility with the option to select the days you wanted to work. Independence is good for people that are not interested in the oppressive micromanagement of hospital or clinic work

Cons

There has been a steady trend towards increasing productivity by any means necessary. Scheduling patients and optimizing time in the field has always been a struggle. However their new “balanced capacity” has been a major challenge making schedules a lot heavier and missing the mark. You have provider overlap and there have been times you run into situations with two separate providers in a home-regularly. Salary used to be competitive but sadly isn’t anymore.
