Pros

Flexible timing, a little informal attitude. Pride on the legacy of being the successful contractor in the Healthcare.gov system. The worker bees are good to work with but get a lot of control from middle and upper management.

Cons

No work life balance for some. Very mundane and un-interesting work. No new projects, micromanaging everything from coffee to facilities. Don't really know the CEO or the senior management. Bikram used to have a more hands on approach in dealing with employees. the new CEO from Optum doesn't know the company and has taken no initiative to do so either.

QSSI Review

Pros

QSSI started out as a small India based company and is now a subsidiary of OPTUM and therefore has, or will have the benefits of working for a very large health company.

Cons

The main location is Columbia, MD. This can be a pro or con depending on where you live. Even if you work in the Tyson's office you will probably be required to work half you time in Columbia, MD.

Pros

Unfortunately the only pro that comes to mind was pay day and sometimes that was delayed and not communicated properly in advance.

Cons

Favoritism, unorganized, underpaying, complacent positions, lack of communication, lack of training, racism, No respect or understanding for life outside of work, No set procedures for very important work, Out dated SOP's if any at all for some departments, Processes constantly changed with no communication, Schedules were changed abruptly and with no time to accommodate, Overworkers, Rude and disrespectful management, unethical practices, lack of raises for promotions, delayed annual reviews, Incompetence, HR was never any help regarding any issues. And I also felt as if they didn't care about their employees as long as a body was in a chair during all shifts.
