Pros

Oracle offered a very comprehensive benefit package and a good salary and bonus. A great place to learn new technology to improve yourself.

Cons

As a Oracle consultant, most projects are short terms (3-6 months max). You will be constantly changing projects which is very stressful sometimes. Company culture is different from most other companies. A very competitive place. In Oracle, you need to do more than your assigned projects. You were expected to help develop new business as well, which is a very important fact in your annual review and your promotion. Normally they like to give higher title to new hires to attract them. Once you join, it is very difficult to get promoted.

Flexibility and the ability to work independently. Great pay and benefits.

Cons

Facilities management team are the most incompetent I have ever seen. Thankfully you don't have to deal with them often.

Pros

Oracle is a great brand in the technology market. Met wonderful people that were bright and innovative. Everyone had a sense of urgency when it came to getting things done. The ability to make a lot of money based upon performance is very rewarding. Flexibility and health care benefits are very good.

Cons

Shark tank as you rise in the organization. I also found that it was many times tougher to sell internal to Oracle then it was to clients and prospects. There is a tendency for people to gravitate to a deal for the sake of getting rewarded when they did not contribute to the effort.
