Pros

I loved management and the opportunities at Oracle. My manager was wonderful and encouraging.

Cons

Oracle's enviroment fosters unhealthly internal competition. You had to watch your back. I'd get praise by management, but jealous team mates made my life hell. They refused to share information, no mentoring and I felt like I was in high school where there were cliches. You either fit in with the "in crowd" or you are an outsider.

Training, working with smart people, access to technology, management support, good compensation including bonuses, discount stock option purchase plan, flexible working hours

Cons

count on having to travel most of the time, the travel time is not always paid for, you will have to work long hours without always getting compensated,
