Pros

Slow-moving pace means a great work-life balance. Also Oracle compensates very well, both with salary and other benefits.

Cons

There is a lot of political inertia here, it's a conservative culture, and ultimately this is a developer-driven organization. Designs always get cut and scaled back. Truly creative designs are unlikely to get built and shipped here. You will end up spending at least as much time on organization and project logistics/management as you do on design.

Pros

Being a large company you get to meet a wide variety of people, some of whom can be a good learning experience to work with.

Cons

Recently, management attitude seems to be that they can acquire technology and not try that hard in building it internally. This reflects down when its time for the bonus and salary review.

Pros

Opportunities to work on challenging and interesting problems. Competitive base salary Good overall benefits

Cons

Poor rewards for performance. Bonuses are small and pay raises non-existent, even after a promotion. Developers expected to work long hours to meet deadlines. Not the most fun environment. Company does not try to make employees feel appreciated.
