      Work culture is good , helpful people around to guide and help you out . disciplined life ..

      Cons

      The 10+ are overpaid and 10 years less are underpaid. Almost with 7 years exp one can expect not more then 6 lakhs with all benefits. Not at all competitive. Cannot survive at Bangalore with these peanuts if at all both husband and wife are not working ! Also no job satisfaction. You will end up patching the Pl/sql packages by reading thousands lines of debug log files day and night.. Need not use much of your brain !!

      Pros

      Reasonable hours, fairly liberal expense policies, not too many abrupt changes, company doing well in spite of recent economic downturn

      Cons

      Oracle knows the tenuous position of their employees and that they can't go anywhere, so raises have been non-existent for years. Pay is significantly lower than competing companies. No career growth assistance. Technology innovation is virtually non-existent here. Management still abides by Ellison's "management by ridicule" approach and violate all the rules of decency in the book. Zero praise for quality work. No incentive to take initiative. Corporate culture breeds mediocrity.

      Pros

      Relaxed atmosphere - very little stress. Almost never have to work on nights or weekends. Lots of smart people. Free gym.

      Cons

      Salaries and bonuses are a lot lower than other tech companies in the area. Raises and bonuses are given out infrequently.
