      Pros

      The name looks good on a resume. Pay and benefits are ok. Good sales methodology.

      Cons

      Immature culture: change for the better is an illusion. If you don't join the club, you will be excluded. It all depends on how much you appreciate your self respect. Critical thinking is not highly appreciated. When you just do your job and mind your own business, it perhaps can work out for you: do not get involved with inside politics. Small chance to pursue a career.

      Pros

      Freedom, flexibility and professionalism is best in Oracle. Apart from this, the culture is very friendly, people are highly supportive which makes Oracle a great place to be. It is upto the individual. If somebody is highly ambitious and also gets a good manager, then there is no stopping. Highly ambitious and bad manager, you are doomed. If this somebody is laid back and just does the work - a perfect place to be.

      Cons

      Highly manager driven and no skip level at all. Performance reviews are not done in some of the groups and how the salary is reviewed is totally unknown. In some groups one can also see a lot of favouritism and its difficult to break and grow up purely based on performance because end of it all, its your manager who will be rating you.

      good benefit work force diversity company is very stable even in bad economy great work/life balance, flexible work hours, and not too stressful at work

      Cons

      extremely bottom-line on cost cutting not showing enough respect to its employees not much potential for growth compensation is lower than average very bureaucratic negligible annual bonus and raise (if there is any!)
