      Pros

      Easy money, good place to hide until retirement!

      Cons

      Too big, too slow, truly awful internal systems and software. For instance I worked abroad and had to submit all timesheets and expenses twice. Once for my home country and once for the 'billing' country. Everything outsourced to India, I accidentally submitted a timesheet twice, to get it reversed I had to get 7 approvals and supply the guy in india with the row_ids of the timesheets to delete directly on the database.

      Pros

      1. Very good work atmosphere. 2. Modularity of work. Once you take ownership, nobody will force changes unless you are totally on the wrong line. 3. Very good infrastructure. 4. There is a quick change in case there is any problem. 5. Access to great knowledge base.

      Cons

      1. Money! Money! Money! Oracle is not competitive when it comes to salary. The start salary is good, but the recent spate of acquisitions has not left any money to be offered for a pay-hike to almost everybody. 2. The work experience is not been taken as a metric while offering renewed compensations. The new guys are worth lot, but the people already in the company are being ignored.

      Pros

      Career stability, job security, exciting changes and annoncements continually. There constantly new challenges being thrown at me and this make ssure I am kept on my toes within my specific industry. It helps within my industry to have this change as with many years experience ti could easily become boring,

      Cons

      It is a coporate so all the internal policies and regulatations can be very frustrating.
