      Pros

      Oracle is focused on enterprise business software pivoting to cloud based software services and has invested heavily in cloud for the last 5+ years. Although it is late to the cloud, it should not be discounted as we are still early in cloud based services

      Cons

      1. Lack of earlier investments in cloud causes urgency in time-to-market of its cloud based services 2. Time-to-market causes short cuts to its engineering fundamentals 3. Top-down approach to engineering innovation - which kills true innovation 4. Pre-mature optimization - too focused on common engineering processes between newly developing / newly developed services, rather than enabling new services to be deployed
