Awesome Employees, Revolving Management Team

Pros

The employees are great and the products created look great too! The benefits of a smaller/medium sized company with wearing multiple hats! Employees are hard working, pretty much self sustaining and manage themselves. The work is actually really enjoyable!

Cons

The management can be confrontational. A lot of managers get hired from outside the company and do not understand or care to understand the company culture and create a very difficult situation for the employees which then creates a revolving door in management. For example, over the last 18 months here I have seen about 7 different managers (not directly over me, but just in the company) come and go. There are about 5 positions for management so there is high change in those positions. However, employees do stay a long time. So if you don't like your manager you just have to wait them out.

Owner is very demanding of things he knows nothing of

very little pros, not worth even an interview

Cons

I am not a disgruntled past employee. The owner doesn't let the experts he hired be experts in their given field. He knows nothing of manufacturing but insists its done his way, which is obvious once you get an understanding of the revolving door that is Ore Designs.

We're sorry to hear you feel that way. We feel a little differently and think the owner actually does know a few things about manufacturing. and he's humble about it too. This is why we've hired new employees to build our new Engineering and Continuous Improvement Departments which are gathering different ideas and asking for new opinions on how to work together better. Regarding turnover, Ore boasts a 6.2% Employee Turnover Rate ...well below the national average of 44.3% for our industry... but we know we still have room for improvement. We want our employees to enjoy working here and we don't shy away from direct feedback, even the difficult feedback. To that point, please continue to share your ideas (frustrations included) so we can address these head on and keep make improvements.

Pros

The management does a really great job at creating a good culture. They make sure that people are taken care of. They also do a lot of cool events monthly and little things throughout the month!

Cons

Nothing to say about cons!
