Pros
The customers, building relationships. I can talk to folks like family. There's a trust and satisfaction you help people. Great training. Working in my own neighborhood. Self management within company limits. I take my truck home which is a bonus but not all locations offer it. I make ok money but even if in busy season it's not enough.
Cons
No room for advancement. Most managers have been in position forever. And it's not like they open new branches. Worked for several years and the way it looks. Every guy really doesn't make more than the years before. You want to make more. You have to work more. Longer hours=more jobs. Then you can't enjoy nights with your family cause you get home late but may have started your day at 5-6 am. The compensation plan forces techs to blow through stops just to do more stops through the day. Not getting paid for "office work, drive time, call backs from customers who see 1 -2 bugs between scheduled services.
