      A good start to your foundation I see navigate the broad field of nursing

      Pros

      The organization provides a good start to building your foundation as you navigate the broad field of nursing. The training and continuing education is exceptional and goes beyond what most other hospitals will provide to nursing staff. Pay is low but that's to be expected as it is Florida. It's a good solid start for graduate nurses to gain experience and exposure as they decide where they want to be in a long run. As for experienced nurses, there are much better options out there that will value your skillset, knowledge base, and will appropriately compensate for your expensive experience.

      Cons

      This organization used to be a good company to work for prior to the pandemic. The company began to decline many years prior to the pandemic. As the quality of nurses and nursing support staff went down the drain, the company decided to furlough their best nurses at the beginning of the pandemic. Prior to that, morale was already at an all-time low. The poor management during the pandemic was just the icing on the cake.

      Lon-term stability and growth with the organization over 20 years. Appreciation for the opportunity and professional development provided. Fulfillment in meaningful work that support patient care. Positive experience working for an organization that values its employees.

      Cons

      Increased workload and complexity due to organization growth. Occasional limitation in flexibility within a large organization. Ongoing adjustment to changes in processes in system. Limited time to reflect on challenges amid daily responsibilities.
