I disappointed to hear about your experience at Advisor Group. Having become an independent company over 2 years ago, Advisor Group has worked to reshape its culture to one of results-orientation, accountability and service. We recognize that our culture is not for everyone, but for those that like to deliver results, innovate and provide extraordinary levels of service, Advisor Group can provide a rich and engaging career. A few months ago, our Atlanta employees moved into all-new office space that is designed for collaboration and transparency, which has greatly improved collaboration and relationship building amongst those teams. Advisor Group is proud to offer compensation and benefits that meet or exceed benchmarks for companies of our size and industry, and we offer annual merit increases based on performance.

Pros

My supervisor offers work/life balance and does not micro manage. The people I work with are friendly and want to see each other succeed. I am on the marketing team and it is fun and upbeat - our CMO challenges us to work hard and challenge the status quo. She remembers everyone by name and takes the time to build relationships. Within my first 3 months of being at Advisor Group I had already met the CEO which was exciting. We have an employee engagement committee that creates fun events at work and outside work so we can network and get to know everyone in the office. We only have 850 employees so the company is a good size. The work is fun, rewarding and challenging.

Cons

We have 4 offices throughout the U.S. so it is hard to get to know everyone on a more personal level.

Pros

PTO policy, corporate events, great staff. Cool location. Tuition reimbursement.

Cons

Underpaid for the area. $60,000 for a Compliance Examiner. Not a competitive salary. High turnover for this role. Left for significantly higher pay like most.

Thank you for writing a review of your experiences as an Advisor Group employee. I’m happy to see you enjoyed some of our benefits offerings like PTO and tuition reimbursement. We are proud to offer these as a part of our competitive benefits package. Advisor Group is proud to offer compensation and benefits that meet or exceed benchmarks for companies of our size and industry. After becoming independent, we instituted annual merit increases based on performance and did market adjustments to pay for employees who had fallen behind in pay. We are continually updating our benchmark information to remain competitive to ensure we pay our employees appropriately.
