Pros

Approve of Advisor Group's CEO, Jamie Price & Leadership team. Approve of Royal Alliance's President & CEO, Dmitry Goldin. Great company with dedicated and hard working teams who stand by their leader. Employees truly care about each other and look after one another which provides a "family-like" office environment. Dozens of employees with long tenure at Royal Alliance (positive sign). Flexible work schedules with ability to work remotely (if needed). Healthy work/life balance. Generous vacation / paid time off for new employees. Good 401K match. Excellent recruiting team (big shout-out to Summer A.!). Relaxed open door policy between managers and employees. Beautiful office on Hudson River with views of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Conveniently located next to PATH train, Hudson light rail and NY Waterway ferries.

Cons

AG definitely has that "corporate" feel and mentality with strict policies and procedures in place. Lack of office culture due to recent changes within organization. Jersey City office is loud and disruptive with an open floor plan which can be very distracting.

Pros

I joined Advisor Group with over 19 years of financial services experience from an RIA, to independent broker dealer experience and asset management. I believed in the leadership team at Advisor Group and knew that they encouraged an entrepreneurial approach. The reasons I joined have all proven right and more. What I love and wished for earlier in my career was the mentorship opportunities that the leaders including myself at Advisor Group believe in and the encouragement and coaching we focus on. If you want to learn, work hard and see the rewards of your hard work look no further.

Cons

You will need to be self motivated to do well, not really a con but something to acknowledge. You will work hard to do well.

Pros

I have been in the industry for over 20 years and have never worked for such an exceptional employer. From the top down, employees are motivated and encouraged in efforts to make the firm an outstanding resource for independent advisors.

Cons

None, and I don't think I've ever said that about an employer.
