Pros

The people and culture are great. Lots of communication during Covid

Cons

Seems like they are changing their business model. Many from the merger of Ladenburg are no longer with the company

Pros

Ability to grow and take on new challenges. Opportunities to work on acquisitions and integrations. Generally talented and helpful co-workers

Cons

The company broke many compensation promises over my three years of employment. Heavy focus on acquisitions with little forethought on integrations and lack of commitment to support employees tasked with integration projects. Poor communication to acquired companies by senior management putting middle managers in tough positions while working on these projects with target companies. Project bonuses were underwhelming or non-existent. Don't expect to be able to take vacation. I was constantly plugged in for over 3 years and never had a day where I was not contacted for an urgent request while on vacation. Was also forced to forfeit vacation due to integration projects. Company was against paying people out and blamed employees for not taking their time off.

Pros

Decent benefits; ability to work remotely; growth opportunities or abilities to apply for other opportunities.

Cons

Was only part of AG for ~1 as my firm was acquired as part of the Ladenburg acquisition. There was a lot of talk about "Shared Services" however the rollout and implementation was rocky. There was a lot of inference about "the best" being selected to be slotted into roles however when the rubber hit the road SAI seemed to dictate who got jobs and who didn't (at least the management jobs). When the music ended I was offered a new role (after applying for half a dozen jobs) I was offered a position at a significant downgrade in level pay. When lots of lip service didn't appear to be resulting in being tapped for a job I choose to look outside the organization. I'm glad I did. Sad to leave AG; glad to have a better role/opportunity with a company that is forward looking.
