Pros

Steep learning curve with huge challenges in a complex international environment. Huge pressure from shareholders on Capital market readiness Still a global Player with much more potential

Cons

Complex and heterogen IT landscape. Family values with regard to employees should be lived daily, not just on paper. Huge challenge to keep the experienced employees on board. Strongly depending on expensive consultants

Pros

Ottobock as a company is amazing to their patients and clients. They will go to the ends of the Earth to make a customer happy. They ensure top of the line products and customer service is top notch.

Cons

Depending on your department is how you will be treated and appreciated. The orthotic and prosthetic technicians, a small department in comparison, are bottom of the barrel. It's the feeling that we are dangling by a string and they have the scissors to cut at any moment. The feeling of being disposable, not appreciated, and being told to keep your head down and do your work. During the pandemic, the fabrication department took many hits and obviously it's not shared whether or not the same was happening in other departments, but it likely wasn't. We have yet to catch up in 2022 with crazy inflation. There's no transparency throughout the chain of command, and Canada is affiliated with Salt Lake, so there are many boundaries that come with that. Ottobock is too large of a company to pay so little, have average benefits, and not give the staff the days off they need. Sick days were only implemented because of Covid, there are no mental wellness days, and when you use SICK days you are questionned like a criminal.
