Pros

In the middle of Downtown Crossing.

Cons

Both of the last two years there were massive firings of 10-15 people, without any forewarning or improvement plans. Plus all the people that get fired within 3 months of being hired. The new Chief Growth Officer they hired couldn't care less about the people at the company. He will fire you without thinking, and is just inherently uncaring and walks all over everyone. Get ready to fight for your job every day. Monetary goals are severely missed, and instead of looking to the leaders who made missteps and just inherently bad decisions, entire teams are canned without blinking. People are miserable here – management is scared that people may actually find out what it's like to work here.

Pros

Ovia has the most passionate, hard working people I have ever woredk with in my career. Everyone is a team player and is ALWAYS happy to help someone out. They believe so much in the product and want to see the company succeed.

Cons

So very sad to see the STEEP decline of this organization and culture. The management could not get a better group of ppl and one by one, this amazing talent is leaving or has one foot out the door. How can you justify not giving promotions to ppl who have been basically built teams and processes but yet you promote others to VP levels that don't deserve it. I know the company is young, there are learning challenges but throwing ppl under the bus is just not a good practice to maintain your amazing talent.

Thanks for your feedback! It is important to us to grow and improve each day in order to be a great place to work for our employees! This year: - We have made sure our promotion and advancement process is finalized and transparent, and several well-deserving employees have already been moved into higher roles. - The Operations team has been working hard to solicit feedback about employee experience and has put several processes and systems into place to increase company-wide transparency and continue to make Ovia a better place to work. - We have gotten a lot of feedback about our lack of transparency, and have been very intentional about sifting through that feedback and attacking the problem at its root. There have been several programs put into place to make sure employees feel that they're being heard and that they are in the loop! We are excited about the growth we've seen within the organization throughout 2019, and continue to maintain an ongoing, open feedback loop to make sure we are meeting everyone's needs!

Pros

fun, intelligent people - who are underappreciated by leadership within the company

Cons

Management is absolutely terrible. They do not care about their people. No processes in place and will screw you over just to save their own reputations. Lie in the interview process to get you to join the team but will say "they never meant that" once you are hired.
