Unrealistic Expectations for Phoenix

Decent pay. A few knowledgeable people. Pretty good environment. Clear expectations from Management

Cons

Mandatory overtime, expect to work 7 days a week, even though that's now how they advertise it. NOT a Mon-Fri job. Expect 1-2 days off per month. Tenured employees brought bad attitude, lack of interest in new ideas with them. New people train newer people, no real knowledge/experience within the facility. Poor safety outlook. No real "breaks" for machine operators unless you are a smoker.

Pros

New plant, some new employee's, has a chance to be better than parent company in Ohio. Three shifts of 8 hours for flexibility. Lots of overtime available.

Cons

Huge amounts of scrap. Old equipment, new plant is given most of the parent companies old stuff and expected to run at full speed. High employee turnovers. Low wages. Have to eat lunches and take breaks while working on the lines. Lots of mandatory overtimes.
