Pros

Great company to put on a resume and benefits are at best average amongst the industry. Great place to work for a steady paycheck.

Cons

Care far more about the bottom line than any employee. Employees are an expense to management not an asset and very little investment is put towards infrastructure.

Great company stability - you know it's going to be around forever. No fear of the company going out of business.

Cons

That stability comes at a cost. 'You' do not matter - only the company does. And what the Chairman thinks today.

Pros

Work life balance is good and if you stay long enough you will get a pension.

Cons

Management are robotic and clueless, the culture is straight out of the 1950's, pay is far below national average, no upward mobility unless you want to be in management, no cost of living increase and 2.5% average pay increase every two years. I could keep going but I think my point is clear.
