Pros

LGBT and tattoo friendly, modern work environment, richly appointed kitchens and meeting rooms, free gourmet coffee machines, electric desks raise and lower at the touch of a button, and WiFi throughout

Cons

Understand that Paccar's three trucking division nameplates (Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF) fiercely compete with each other, and each division has its own cultural norms and IT departments - none of whom seem to want to play well together or show any genuine concern for the other. This is a huge risk for you as a BA because, for example, one division favors a COTS package and wants to implement it, but the other divsion does not, and yet at the end of the day Paccar is supposed to be one company right? Well, not exactly. So securing funding for your projects will be difficult because the trucking divisions have separate budgets and priorities as well. North America Paccar (Kenworth and Peterbilt) is a few years behind its European nameplate (DAF) in terms of after-sales technologies and processes. Paccar in general (regardless of nameplate) is about five years behind its competitors (e.g., Volvo, Freightliner, etc.) for after-sales. Wonky expense and travel booking system (Concur) Wonky support ticketing system (Cherwell) Poor, minimal onboarding experience - other than a few meet & greets set up by your manager, you'll be on your own. Azure DevOps boards are a mess; incredible amount of project overlap between roadmap initiatives, their requirements, and the user stories. Must wait 6 months before being approved (IF you're approved, it's not automatic) to WFH, not to exceed two days per week. (But managers often ignore the policy, and are inconsistent when using the benefit, so you'll frequently be "surprised" when your manager decides to WFH without telling you ahead of time.) ZERO TRUST - your badge is timestamped when you come and go from the building. Doesn't matter that you're salaried, you better have your butt in your seat for 8+ hours per day -- it doesn't matter that you worked overtime last week or last Saturday, there is no "balancing things out" allowed. Wonky performance management and training system ("Success Factors") - you're required to set goals, assess yourself, track your progress, etc. It's just too much...
