Pros

- Good coworkers aside from the bosses

Cons

- The bosses - I've never worked somewhere with so much pressure, yelling, and namecalling. They cover themselves by blaming their subordinates and never take responsibility. - Workload - There's always too much to do and it's impossible to keep up. The pay isn't good for how much work you need to do. - Dress code - Culture

Pros

You get a paycheck that is below market value and if you’re a woman or person of color you will be aggressively and consistently low balled. If you’re not a man (particularly a white man), or a nepotism/legacy hire do not work here.

Cons

There are many cons and all the negative reviews on this site are accurate. Do not work here. Let me say that again: DO. NOT. WORK. HERE. PACCAR is stuck in the 1950s. The chairman, CEO, c-suite team (one of which has a large Confederate painting in his office), and the sycophants in corporate HR refuse to recognize the toxic, blatantly sexist, racist, and fear-based culture where men are coddled and their bad behavior is justified because, “hey, he’s a nice guy.” EMPLOYEES COME LAST AT PACCAR The hostility toward employees permeates every aspect of the company. Corporate HR, tasked with protecting the company from its employees, is comprised of a bunch of delusional, ineffectual, incompetent directors and managers who have little real-world talent or experience managing people. The environment is depressing and unforgiving. At the end of the day, the company expects numb, non-thinking, non-questioning robots. As a noodle of a legacy male director once said: We're a bunch of ants marching in line and we get to an obstacle and we don't know what to do, we don't know how to get around. We need someone to tell us what to do. But in practice they only want fellow ants; they dismiss your expertise and instead penalize you for applying that expertise. They are happy to die for the "PACCAR way." PAY ATTENTION TO NEGATIVE REVIEWS As mentioned up top, the negative reviews are accurate. There is out-of-control turnover at PACCAR for many reasons: low pay, rigid culture, dress code, lack of remote work, sexism, racism, lack of quality leaders, etc. The negative experiences are structural and systemic, and I recommend you heed the warnings expressed in these reviews.

Pros

-Coworkers were great to work with.

Cons

-Salary is below average. -No advancement opportunities. -Work environment feels like being in a cult and disagreeing gets you branded as a disbeliever/outcast. -Job was monotonous and was not challenging. I could go on but other reviews of Paccar can paint a better picture. The best day that I had at Paccar happened to be the last day that I worked there. There are better places to work for than Paccar and this place needs to avoided like the plague.
