Pros

The share offering that is given to you if you choose to actually stay here is definitely a pro.

Cons

I worked in their Tampa office after coming from another large GC. I knew I made a mistake from the minute I walked in the door. I have never experienced an environment like this - no one ever in the office, zero employee work culture, no socialization, no investment in employees whatsoever. On day one, I was walked to an empty cubicle, given a computer (no desk or cell phones given here - Microsoft teams will be your main communication tool!) and left to sink or swim. You will get zero onboarding here from an actual person - most of your team will be in Colorado, California or Arizona anyways. They will make you watch a million videos from the early 2000s to “onboard” you - that is how they welcome you to PCL. No visit to corporate headquarters to engage with department leaders and fellow new hires, just a ton of videos. Very impersonal. I was miserable the whole time and ended up going back to my former company. Felt like working with the C squad the entire time I was there. Leadership changed twice while I was there and most employees didn’t last past 6 months to a year - one person in our office left after two weeks! Due to the constant employee turnover, no one knew what they were doing and hours upon hours were spent in meetings “strategizing.” I’ve never seen anything like it in my life.
