      Pros

      NPCL has a huge data base of lessons learned from past projects. You can easily contact someone in the company that may have experience with a problem you may be experiencing on a project. Employee owned company. Health benefits are good. 401k is good.

      Cons

      NPCL preaches that they promote from within, but when you have worked for the company for 5 years and NPCL chooses to hire someone with 2 years industry experience, instead of promoting you. "Yea we promote from within." NPCL is not team oriented, and very cliquey. People at NPCL are quick to pass blame, no one owns up to their mistakes. Favoritism abounds at NPCL. Only the manager's pets, get promoted and recognized. They almost seem to gain immunity when problems arise, and the blame is quickly passed to another "teammate." Expect to have no life. If you are on a project, you are expected to work 10-11hrs minimum

      Employee Ownership is a great benefit

      Pros

      The community culture is strong due to the employee ownership program. Many people stay with the company for decades and there is a sense of ownership and community.

      Cons

      Work/Life balance is difficult. A lot of hours. This is mostly the con of the industry and not the company, however.

      Pros

      On the best companies to work for list for multiple consecutive years. Employee owned company offers great benefits. Great insurance plans, very affordable. It's all about the shares.

      Cons

      Promotion from within has become very uncommon these days so the growth prospects can be a bit dim. Training and mentoring are not the greatest in the world.
