Pros

The pay is decent for what you're doing, coworkers are very friendly

Cons

Not enough training, obvious inner turmoil, the systems are disgustingly out of date (I think some are almost 30 years old), poor organization everywhere

Pros

Occasional free food and snacks and a number of middle managers trying hard to do the right thing, in spite of incompetent senior executives.

Cons

CEO cares only about himself and his travel schedule. With a ridiculously weak Board of Directors, there is no check on the utter incompetence and malevolence of the Executive Team. This organization likes to make believe that they care about veterans, but they don’t, using them as mere props. They certainly don’t care about employees who are overworked and underpaid. Can you imagine having to take a vacation day for Thanksgiving or Christmas?? If a study were ever conducted on how not to run an organization, PenFed would be the poster child. Do yourself a favor and work somewhere else. You will be glad you did.

Cons

Fast growth is causing a lot of change, some good - some not good. Benefits are expensive Some teams and areas are not growing well Working from home is not allowed or heavily discouraged
