Used to be great

Pros

I worked for PenFed for 3+ years. When I first started, it was great! Everyone was working together, the morale was high but now things are going down hill and a lot of people are leaving. The only pros left are decent pay, end of year bonuses, and once a year raises.

Cons

Morale is very low. Management does not listen to suggestions from employees. Overtime is becoming a standard. Rewards have been taken away. Systems are completely out dated. There are openings for promotions, but the standards to promote have changed and are much more difficult to meet.

Pros

Good benefits (used to be great). Stable company. Nice to serve armed forces. Active in community.

Cons

Used to have great local HR department but has not been that way in years. Now HR just seems to follow operations, I would not ever think to go to them with a problem or concern now. They are also very hard in the call center on their exempt employees. They work a ton of hours and despite accruing tons of leave, they make it hard to take the time off when you want it. Though senior management does not seem to have this issue.
