Pros

When I think about working at PILOT, the first word that comes to mind is learning. Regardless of the role you are in, every day brings a new learning experience. The team uses its own product and frameworks for career development efforts, which speaks to the belief the team has in the product they design, build, and deliver. The PILOT team brings inspiration, diverse perspective and (bonus) likes to have fun at work, laugh together and celebrate together. My time at PILOT has been impactful both personally and professionally. It has been filled to the brim with challenges, achievements, growth opportunities and learning experiences that would have taken me ages at other organizations to acquire.

Cons

As a growing startup, PILOT has a fast paced work environment which requires comfort in changing / shifting priorities, communication skills, ownership and drive. These may not be cons, I certainly don't consider them to be, but if you're not looking for a fast paced environment it could be a con.

Pros

Thoughtful leadership that implements progressive, but proven methods to engage with employees Colleagues who care for one another Flexibility in how you and when you choose to work. An exciting product that is changing the human resources space. You can feel it internally, but you feel it even more when interacting with clients. You will get authentic mentorship and training on both hard and soft skills Your growth is based on mutual agreements on your strengths and how you would like to grow within the company. You aren't tied to your job description forever.

Cons

I wasn't used to remote work at the time, so I found it challenging to report to somebody who wasn't colocated with me.
