      Pros

      Location, exposure, and looks good on resume. You may learn a lot on how to navigate high stress situations and difficult personality types which is a good quality to have and helped me secure a better job elsewhere.

      Cons

      Culture, HR, compensation - all big red flags. It shows in the amount of turnover. I believe probably half of the glowing 5 star reviews on here are fake.

      Pros

      There were pros if you were there at the inception of PJT. Its grown too fast, lost its identity, HR have no clue what they are doing or how to recruit, everyone lies to your face, don’t be surprised if you get thrown under the bus, no support by managers and partners on deals and we seriously work 24/7 to make deadlines to really get no thanks. If you aren’t once of Pauls or HRs favorites you might as well start looking for a new job. I am about to and I know like 6 other guys who are so fed up

      the hours, the bonus, lack of respect from HR and the fact they have favourites and are so open about it is just wrong

      - Work on big deals with blue-chip clients - Lots of deal experience - Good exits

      Cons

      - Zero expectation of work life balance - Taking PTO discouraged - Managers are extremely opaque with expectations and will berate you if you mess up something as small as cc'ing people in the wrong order on an email - Certain groups have near zero racial diversity - Firm touts "culture" but only culture is binge drinking and overwork
