Pros

It can be a good job straight out of college

Cons

This company is a joke they really don't spend time helping to manage and develop yourself. You're stuck in an atmosphere where people are constantly yelling across the office making it very hard for you to cold call Prospect of clients

Pros

This job is a resume builder at best. Intense sales experience and some insight into the logistics field. Except most companies don't really care about a job you only had for 6 months... The work environment is a blast! VERY casual, young, a lot of freedom and goofing around. Everyone gets along and socializes outside of work and the office is in a great location in the heart of Midtown. I loved going to work at PLS because it didn't feel like work. **BUT** as cool as that sounds, a "fun" work environment doesn't pay the bills or advance your career...

Cons

Turnover is absolutely ridiculous. If you aren't pacing to reach your RIGOROUS sales goals, you're fired. No questions asked. BYE! You'll be lucky if you make it longer than 6 months. This is due to a pitiful training program, total market saturation and almost ZERO support from management once you are in the sale process. Sink or swim. The salary is pretty low. Not TERRIBLE but at $36,000, it's definitely on the low end of the spectrum especially for Houston and the high rent you'll pay to live in a desirable area of town. Plus, the benefits are pretty pathetic. Low coverage, HIGH deductible plans. The job itself SUCKS. It takes a very special kind of person to cold call for 10 hours a day, getting hung up on, cursed at and rejected in the hopes that MAYBE one of the 100 calls you make each day (minimum requirement) will result in some business. That doesn't even include the time you are expected to put in outside of the already long work hours (7:45am -5:30pm M-F and some SATURDAYS!) for building a call list.

Pros

Get to see what a horrible job is. Also, you can play basketball and pool whenever you want.

Cons

Everything. The whole place is ran horribly. If you drive a red corvette, you can show up whenever you want.
