Pros

Excellent work life balance and benefits. PNC's technology has been upgraded significantly in the last 12 months and many positions are structured for telecommuting (at manager's discretion". Calabasas office is close to mountains for a quick hike at lunch and within walking distance to restaurants.

Cons

Lower tier management struggles with being in tune with PNC culture and technology changes in addition to struggling with the ability to communicate a department vision to motivate staff year after year toward corporate goals and business line goals. Teamwork between departments is also weak which often creates double/triple entry and frustration between departments.

Pros

Work life balance is good in certain departments (Asset Management, Underwriting), hours are flexible, rarely any overtime. Employees in Portland office are very friendly.

Cons

PNC Real Estate in Portland, OR is notorious for underpaying employees, no raises/small raises (1.5% a year), small bonus, senior management indicated that pay increases are dependent on promotions, not yearly tenure. There is high turnover at this company, and PNC Real Estate is notorious in the multifamily tax credit industry as a company to avoid working for if you can help it.
