Pros

Love my job, love my co-workers, love the overall "feel" of my dtd.

Cons

- Pay way below market rate - RTO with no reasonable explanation - Benefits program is a joke. High deductible plans that cover nothing. And the benefits department is unwilling to help, which is understandable since they are contractors and not actually part of PNC. Zero empathy. Zero follow-through. Legitimately actively pursuing a different company due to the month's long battles I've had with my own HR department. So sad that they care nothing about the employee, just the bottom-line.

Pros

Was supportive when I had to take a leave of absence. I did learn a lot more about banking. This review is for the years 16-20.

Cons

PNC contributed to my having to take a leave of absence. When I got back, I was supposed to go back to my original position, but I was not assigned to my original position. But that was the least of my issues with the company. At my first branch, the pressure to open accounts was insane. There were accounts that were opened by management that we knew would close due to fraud but were only opened to meet our monthly quota. I had a loan declined for a woman who was a client making around $110k for $25k and was told by the underwriters that she needed to have her husband as a co-signer. When I was assigned to another branch, they never followed policies and procedures. They would never, ever check id's for customers. I would get cursed out on the regular for asking for id. I have worked for several banks and the number one thing that has to be done regardless of how long the customer has been banking with you is checking their id. And my co-workers would look at me like I was the problem. Also during the pandemic, while everyone was trying their best to save money, we were directed to either open cd's or direct customer's with mortgages to take out helocs because it would make the bank money. I was super glad to leave.
