Although they say that they pay industry standard, this is true only for the favored. No team support; it's sink or swim. If you're super good at that, this place may be OK for you, but since it's a CRO, the focus is a bit more on $ than on good science. And at least currently, the policy of splitting a salary pool, makes people behave in competitive, even unethical ways sometimes, to try to get more of the limited pool for themselves.

Lower pay than other similar companies. However, PPD makes up for this in terms of company culture and work life balance.
