Pros

The managers are very aware of the like of a traveling CRA and provide excellent support for the field CRA. The company tries to make sure that the CRA actually has a life beyond work. The have a bonus program for those who want to do more visits than the minimum per quarter. It is a really comfortable place to work.

Cons

I really can't think of any Cons. I often wish that I had never taken the offer from Quintiles.

Pros

Flexibility. You are somewhat free to decide when you come in, no one is obligated to come to work at a specific time each day as long as you work 8 hours.

Cons

No promotions. No interest in retaining good employees. Policies in place don't allow lower level employees to get credit for their work. Salary is not competetive with other companies and benefits aren't great either. Heavy workload, often long hours. Lots of micro-managing, only limited freedom within your job description.

Pros

A great opportunity to get exposure to the CRO atmosphere. Can work from home. Worked with great people.

Cons

The company has a LOT of turnover. There are people quitting every week. So work is constantly being transitioned back and forth in between employees. The company doesn't seem to have a problem with all of this turnover and have made no effort to improve pay, work load, etc. in order to keep the good employees that they do have. Hiring practices aren't very consistent either. You could have someone with a lot less qualifications than you working in a senior position over you. You can either have a very large amount of work or none at all. Nothing in between. The salary and benefits are not as good as other CROs.
