Pros

-They pay you well to relocate -Very flexible on hours -Good work schedule, Mon-Fri 7am-5pm -Competitive pay $37,000

Cons

When you first interview for the position they make the opportunities seem amazing and getting placed is a piece of cake. Just to give you a little background, this Career Development Program, or CDP as we are referred to, is basically in a temporary position. Once you complete the 6 month training program you have 6 months to find a store. Now what the don't tell you is that completing the training program is the easy part and that finding a store is a very intense process. Even though you were hired on and be trained to be a manager doesn't mean you will have any preference over other candidates applying to the same management position. So once you complete the program you go to the careers web page and look for openings all across the country. Keep in mind there are 30 other candidates in your class that you are competing against for these positions. Once you find a store you would like to apply to next you have to see if it is CDP eligible. Basically it can't be a brand new store and it can't be over a million dollars in sales. By the way there is a person in charge of the CDP program who is supposed to help you get placed, well he does very little, I mean you are on you own. Finally after you apply to a store you go through a formal interview process like you would with any other job and than they say you the our doing more interviews and will make a decision by the end of the week. A couple different scenarios usually occur. One, they let you know in an email that you were not a good fit for the position, Two, you never hear anything from them again.

Pros

Salary, Benefits. Long running business with a good reputation.

Cons

Everything else. The project has a turnover worthy of a poorly managed Mcdonalds. Management just sent out an email that said "Happy Mother's Day, mandatory 12 hour days M-F until further notice." It's too late for me ...save yourself!!!!!!

Pros

Stellar training program for Territory Managers. Regional Managers offer solid support in the field. Company strives to be the best in its industry.

Cons

A lot of time on the road. Large territories make it difficult to stick to a 9 hour day in the field. Competitive salaries, but not the highest in the industry. Difficult to move up in the company without relocating.
