Pros

Good benefits, salary within market, strategic location

Cons

Manager practices favoritism and focus development for certain people only. Being a minority is even harder. Manager didn't value the employee and even ask to leave if we dont fit in the team. Unfair treatment - we didnt get recognition like certain people even its for the same amount of work, effort or if we received an award from the stakeholders. Manager disturbed employee who is on leave. When employee raised some issue about the manager, we will be backfired and was asked to change instead. Manager only listens to things that suit their preferences only.

There Is No Work-Life Balance in PPG Marketing

Pros

The pay was very competitive.

Cons

Woof ... there's a lot. First, this place has terrible work-life balance. The department is poorly organized and so everything is a fire drill. People work late into the evenings, they work on weekends, they answer emails on their days off. It is a very small staff for the size of the organization, and everyone wears a lot of hats and works constantly. You will be pressured into doing the same. Everything operates on a shoestring budget with outsized goals. There's very little structure in place to support more sophisticated marketing activities. As a result, everyone just sort of keeps the lights on. From a marketing perspective, there's not really a compelling message or coherent theme. They sell paint but they don't really want to market around that. The branding is terrible. The creative is terrible, etc. Everyone is very stuck in their ways. The company is very decentralized so they have a hard time developing a unified message or even figuring out what they have to say. Everything is highly fragmented. Turnover is very high overall, particularly on the digital side. As much as I hate the term "culture" this place has none. Most of all, if work-life balance is something that matters to you, I would strongly consider NOT working at PPG.
