      Pros

      Pay. If you’re okay with a boring job then it could be right up your alley. It’s called Park, Sleep, Eat, Go home for a reason.

      Cons

      Really depends what division you end up in. Unfortunately for me I dealt with being lied to and nepotism. You’ll never get a clear schedule, you aren’t really going to learn much, and you’ll have to deal with a lot of senior guys that are just riding out a free paycheck into retirement.

      Pros

      Plenty of jobs to choose from and move around in the union if you like to learn. Supervisor roles are plentiful and they are willing to guide you. Union contract is strong. Overtime is available. Strong emphasis on safety.

      Cons

      Supervisors can be hit or miss. Sometimes your voice feels lost in sheer volume of workload/employees. Shift work can be a lot to handle for some. Tons of responsibility for less pay than other jobs.
