      Great people stifled by inept management

      Pros

      My coworkers were a great bunch, and probably the only reason I stayed as long as I did. The benefits were standard for this type of job, but probably better than the average US worker

      Cons

      Inept mid level management A vice president of XYZ dept for every day of the week. Having no less than 5 different managers in 8 years due to high turnover Constant company wide freezes on raises No clear cut milestones for advancement Meetings about meetings Constant changes of direction and operating procedures with no benefit. Truly the blind leading the blind

      Pros

      Only salary is high, but money doesn't matter each time.

      Cons

      So many guys sitting in PTC since 10-20 years. they will not let you visible globally. Favoring atmosphere Routing work Bound to responsibilities and day to day work No appreciation to effort one put in their work. You will be taken for granted as they are assuming you're paid very well compare to other companies. But as mentioned salary doesn't matter each time.

      Pros

      Benefits are good with PTOs based on service years, 401k match of max of 3%, 3 floating holiday, 5 sick leaves, decent health insurance, professional study reimbursement etc. Good work life balance unless you are travelling. Good performance review process. Work from home option is a catchy lure.

      Cons

      Strategy keeps changing with every acquisition. More time spent in company acquisitions than successful integration planning. Poor talent retention & job safety. Most of the employees are acquired. Hence leads to corporate politics.
