      Pros

      I have been working at PTC for two years. It's an exciting time to be here, with the company investing in new products (mostly IoT). Smart people, great life-work balance, very good perks and benefits (4 weeks vacation to start with, 2 floating holidays, 5 sick days). The company is moving the headquarters to Seaport in January, which the tech district of Boston. I can't wait to move to our new, modern space. Great culture with social Thursdays to relax and mingle with other employees. Gym on site with many classes. We will have commuter benefits when we move to Seaport. I am very happy to work at PTC and to be a part of a great team!

      Cons

      We need to improve communication between departments which still are a little siloed.

      Deep down, just like every other company

      Pros

      - Yearly pay reviews - Benefits are decent - Most of the people I worked with were awesome - Lots of HR schemes to allow you to train and grow, eg. Lynda.com

      Cons

      - Pretty ruthless when there is a slight dip in profits, which is tough to stomach when you see upper mgmt getting millions in stock options whilst others are clearing out their desks - Career advancement depends on your location - Lots of the "fun" HR initiatives only really occur at the main offices - Stock bonuses are usually drip fed you over a many years, and don't start immediately, eg. Thanks for all your hard work, here are 30 shares!! Well actually we'll release 10 of those this time next year, and then another 10 the year after, and btw - if we make you redundant through no fault yours in the meantime, you won't get jack!

      Terrible Management; Sinking Ship

      Pros

      There is generally a lack of accountability and responsibility, which can be great if you just want a job that pays (though not well).

      Cons

      1. PTC is a terribly managed company at every single level: the top level management lacks a sense of direction and struggles to articulate their vision in detail; some middle managers are hard working but some are simply incompetent and unpleasant to work with. 2. PTC is a sinking ship: The company is not growing and will unlikely grow or simply maintain its operations within the coming years. Its technical competence is obsolete and the company hasn't figured out a way to fuel growth with new talent or technology.
