Backed by Tokio Marine, one of the world’s premier insurance companies. PURE is an all around great company.

Cons

401k matching is average. Some of the new hires are starting out with way higher salaries than years ago. They could do more to get employees of four years to a higher level. There was a recent $2,500 increase to address this issue but it didn’t do much if you look closer at the numbers. A high performing Underwriter II shouldn’t be making $5K more than an Underwriting Analyst a year out of college. However, there is much room for career growth and compensation increases. Senior Underwriter and beyond is well into the six figures.

Be prepared to do everything claim related without training OKRS are unrealistic Micromanagement is a huge issue Uppermanagement will work against you not with you Be prepared to be sleep deprived Have anxiety over claims where things go left out of control No real work life balance: you live to work with this role Hire ups are delusional on what goes on and how constant changes effect our productivity Low pay Not many opportunities for mobility On call 365 days a year essentially No
